About

(UKİD) International Development and Cooperation Society, founded in 2006 in Istanbul, is an active foundation with the intention of strengthening economic, social, political, and cultural ties with the countries that are part of Türkiye's history, culture, and belief system.

UKİD, is the first professional foundation established in order to not only embrace all aspects of development and cooperation efforts but also implementing projects within this scope with a civilized understanding. As it is known, Türkiye has been long since carrying out these types of activities by public corporations. Türkiye provides development aids to more than 70 countries in a vast geography, primarily the Turkic World and the countries we share our common culture, from Moldova to Mongolia, from Sudan to Palestine. In today's world where CSO's are becoming increasingly more important, UKİD plays a lead role by by incorporating efforts on development and cooperation into civil society activities.

It is clear that with the steps to be taken towards development and cooperation, significant contributions can be made to the development efforts of friendly, akin, and relative communities in our cultural geography and the regional states. For this reason, we attach importance to cooperation with relevant public institutions and organizations, as well as other Turkish non-governmental organizations and international organizations with similar purposes. In our work, we aim to serve the countries and regions that need help more quickly, with less bureaucracy, and with projects that are as practical as possible. Our indispensable goal is to ensure that the total support is numerically higher and of higher quality in efforts to meet the needs.

Within this framework of understanding, Ukid has directly or indirectly taken the initiative of taking actions in countries such as Kosova, North Macedonia, Bosnia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Tanzania, and continues to expand these activities.

UKİD's 2012 program consists of organizing the Balkan Roma Workshop, organizing the 1st Sarı Saltuk Symposium in Romania-Babadağ, providing Eid al-Adha Aid to the needy in Tanzania, participating in the Bugaç Plain Festival in Hungary, helping the construction of the mosque in Vperiod village in Russia, organizing the 'Expatriate Meetings' programs for those permenantly returning from Europe to Turkey.

Purpose and Goals

The sole purpose of International Development and Cooperation Society can be expressed as spreading peace, serenity, leniency, love, wealth, justice, and preserving and universalizing common cultural values and development idea by the means of collective cooperation and solidarity.

International Development and Cooperation Society UKID carries out activities and develops projects for humanitarian, economic, commercial, technical, social, cultural and educational cooperation in line with the stated purpose with countries, communities, public and private legal and genuine entities that recognize the aforementioned purpose as a common ground.
